Athletics Canada announces three-year partnership with Streamline Athletes

Athletics Canada is excited to announce a new three-year partnership with Streamline Athletes, a Canadian sports recruiting platform dedicated to track and field and cross-country. The partnership will help facilitate the recruiting process for Canadian student-athletes.

Finding the appropriate program for aspiring collegiate athletes can be a challenging process as there are hundreds of college and university programs. Streamline Athletes helps the next generation – and their families – discover their best option for both academic and athletic success.

“We are thrilled to announce our newest partnership with Streamline Athletes, a leader in online sports recruiting”, said Mathieu Gentès, Athletics Canada, Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited to work together, by leveraging their expertise, resources, and networks, we will be able to provide a first-class service to student-athletes with aspirations of a post-secondary athletic career.”

Streamline Athletes, founded in 2017 by a pair of track and field alumni from Simon Fraser University, Brett Montrose and Alexandre Paré, allows high school athletes to create a personal profile that includes their latest results and academic interests helping them connect with coaches from more than 1,700 universities across North America. The platform is also a powerful recruiting tool for post-secondary coaches in Canada and the United States.  The company, which boasts Olympian Regan Yee and pro marathoner Sarah Inglis on their staff, and Aaron Brown and Justyn Knight as ambassadors, is already entwined within the track and field community.

This partnership will create new opportunities for Athletics Canada members, such as a 10 per cent discount on Streamline memberships (use code AC10). The two entities are also collaborating to form a joint scholarship and awards program for Athletics Canada members from underserved communities.

“Streamline Athletes is honoured to partner with Athletics Canada; as a Canadian company, we take pride in supporting the development of Canadian student-athletes, and this partnership is a natural fit,” said Brett Montrose, co-founder and co-CEO of Streamline Athletes. “We're looking forward to working together to make a positive impact on the athletic, academic, and overall experiences of more young track and field athletes.”

Alexandre Paré, Montrose’s co-founder and co-CEO, added that this partnership with Athletics Canada will greatly serve Streamline’s objective of facilitating the recruitment process for an increasing number of student-athletes in Canada.

“Our goal has always been to instill confidence in student-athletes as they transition to the collegiate level,” said Paré.  “In collaboration with Athletics Canada, we can ensure more athletes have the opportunity to pursue athletics and academics at the best place for them.”
