Results From Around the Track and the Field

The weekly circulation of Results from Around the Track and the Field has now switched to the outdoor season. Each week the table will list the top performance in each event with a link to the top 10 in that particular discipline.

Highlights of the week

Shawnacy Barber of Toronto, Ont., improved the Canadian men’s junior pole vault record to 5.34-metres at the Texas Relays Invitational in Austin, Texas. Barber now holds both the indoor and outdoor junior pole vault records.

Also at the Texas Relays Aaron Brown of Toronto, Ont., finished first in the men’s 100-metres in a time of 10.09w (+3.1). The men’s 4x100-metres relay team was also in action in Texas, Richard Adu-Bobie of Ottawa, Ont., Seyi Smith of Ottawa, Ont., Jared Connaghton of New Haven, PEI., and Gavin Smellie of Etobicoke, Ont., combined to finish in second place in a time of 39.35 seconds.
