Perdita Felicien and Carmen Douma-Hussar lining up in World Athletics Final

OTTAWA Canadas Perdita Felicien from Pickering, Ont. and Carmen Douma-Hussar of Cambridge, Ont. will both take part in the IAAFs 4th World Athletics Final this weekend in Stuttgart, Germany. Reigning Canadian champ Perdita Felicien will run the 100-meter hurdles while Carmen Douma-Hussar will take part in the 1500-metres. Douma-Hussar recently won her 2nd national title in a row at the Canadian Championships held in Ottawa.
The entry list of the IAAF World Athletics Final is decided according to the World Athletics Tour Standings. The top seven athletes with the greatest number of points from their five best results qualify, with the top 11 qualifying for races of 1500-metres and over. The starting field at the World Athletics Final is of the utmost quality with 42 world champions, 24 Olympic Games medalists and 7 current world record holders entered. Perdita Felicien is one of the world champions entered, earning the crown in 2003.
