2008 Canadian Track and Field Championships and Trials on CBC Saturday July 19thWednesday, July 16, 2008 OTTAWA - The Canadian Track and Field Championships will air coast to coast on CBC this Saturday July 19th beginning at 1:00pm EST. Held at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, the event was also the Selection Trials for the 2008 Olympic Games. Over 10 000 fans attended the four day event cheering on athletes crossing the finish line in hopes of qualifying for Beijing. As Athletics Canada’s Canadian Track and Field Championships were fully integrated for the second consecutive year, the championships also showcased the Paralympics Games team which will compete in Beijing in September The broadcast will be followed at 2:00pm (EST) with the IAAF Paris Golden League.
