Half Marathon Championships to tee off Athletics Canada 2010 Canadian Championship Series

OTTAWA –
For the third
consecutive year the Canadian Half Marathon Championships will be held in
conjunction with the Banque Scotia 21k and help officially kick off the 2010
Canadian Championship Series. The event takes place April 18 in Montreal,
Quebec.
Canadian
Running Series Technical Race Director Francois Lecot comments; “We're particularly thrilled to host the Half Marathon
Championships at Banque Scotia 21K de Montreal. With so many excellent Canadian
distance runners now moving up to the marathon, such as Simon Bairu, Reid
Coolsaet, Richard Mosley, Dylan Wykes, Andrew Smith and Tara Quinn-Smith;
it is an especially exciting time to be a key part of things”. Lecot
adds, “Athletics Canada and the Canadian Running Series invite everyone to join
us for a great weekend of racing and running on a signature Montreal course
that includes Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.”
