The Athletics Canada Sport Information Officer for the 2013 Canada Summer Games will serve as the primary link between Canada Games Council, the Host Society’s media relations staff, participating teams, on-site technical staff and Athletics Canada to provide the best possible sports coverage of athletics events during the 2013 Canada Summer Games.
The volunteer position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to pursue a career in marketing and communications or having an interest in fulfilling media relation roles with national sport governing bodies. Interested individuals should be fluently bilingual, able to speak and write effectively in English and French, be familiar with the sport of athletics and must be available to be present at the Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke from August 10th to 18th and prepare background information and supporting documents in the 4 to 6 weeks prior to the start of the Games.

The Athlete Services Coordinator role is for full-time employment. The salary range for this position is
$30,000 to $35,000 plus benefits and the anticipated start date is June 3, 2013.
The Athlete Services Coordinator position falls within the National Team Unit; the objective is to provide support to the national team programs with a specific emphasis on coordinating programs involving Canada’s national team athletes. The National Team Unit is an integrated department serving both Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

The Para-Athletics stream of Athletics Canada is currently searching for a Physician who would be able to lead our Integrated Support Team (IST) group through the lead-up and execution of our goals on the Road Through Lyon 2013.
The current Integrated Support Team consists of service providers from the Athletic Therapy, Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy professions. In addition, we retain other sport-specific performance based providers such as biomechanists, nutritionist and equipment managers.
